Tulips on Troost: Thanks to Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Steve!

Tulips on Troost, a project of the Southtown Foundation, aims to change the face of Troost Avenue by planting one million tulips along the Avenue. Through this mission, we hope to inspire and motivate the citizens of Kansas City to recognize the value of neighborhood revitalization and beautification in some of the city's most historic districts. Tulips are just on the surface—our deep-rooted goal is to use a beautiful, accessible thing like a tulip to represent positive change on Troost and to let the city know that Troost is worth our time, efforts, and resources.

Tulips on Troost wants to give a tremendous thank you to Elizabeth Ong & St. Peter's School, and Rebecca Kidwell & First Robotics/Learn Science & Math, for generous donations of tulip bulbs and other flowers! These bulbs will be planted THIS SATURDAY OCTOBER 10 on 54th & Troost! Thanks, ladies!

Speaking of this Saturday, another big thanks to Steve Jenks of UMKC who has helped us plot out and dig the land for bulb planting.

Join us this Saturday from 12:30-2:30pm at 54th & Troost (the lot north of Coffee Break) to plant alongside Urban LEAD Academy of UMKC. See you then!
